There's no color combo that I love more than blue and green. Something about these colors is just so fresh and soothing, and since summer is quickly approaching, I think it's a perfect time to liven up your space, and an easy way to do that is with a new area rug.
One of my top tips for interior design is to start with one element that you really love - a rug, fabric, or some artwork - and use that element as a palette for your space. I like to use an area rug to set the palette since it's often one of the largest items in the room and can really set the tone and feel for the space.
So with that in mind, here are some beautiful, top-rated {affordable} rugs in blues & greens that can be used in lots of different rooms.
BLUES
Safavieh is always a winner for me. They have such a good selection of rugs and their quality is top-notch. I've never been disappointed by this brand.
This rug (below) looks very similar to a Dash & Albert rug I used to own that was MUCH more expensive. And TBH, that one didn't last super long!
The colors in this one are stunning!
Super high quality and wool; looks like Pottery Barn. Great price for an 8x10!
You know I love a good, bold print, and this one has some nice texture, too!
Super highly rated with almost 1,500 ratings, 4.6 stars!
I love this antelope pattern! I had a similar runner at my last house in my primary bath.
Another great Safavieh option; love the medallion pattern!
Unique pattern and so affordable at $150 for an 8x10! Safavieh again.
GREENS
Classic pattern, beautiful colors, and 5% off coupon.
I purchased a different version of this rug for a staging client and it looked great! Polypropylene is not necessarily my favorite material for a rug, but sometimes it works well and the price is almost always reasonable.
This one is pretty neutral but has some olive undertones which I love.
I own the blush/gray version of this Loloi rug and it is one of my absolute favorite rugs of all time!
This is a beautiful color combination in my opinion. All the color ways in this design look gorgeous.
Love the subtle sage colors in this rug, 100 percent wool.
Where to shop
My #1 go-to for rugs is always... you guessed it, Amazon, mostly because they have the biggest selection of different brands and manufacturers and they also tend to have the greatest number of reviews. Almost never do I purchase or recommend a rug that has less than a 4 star rating, and typically I like to stay closer to 4.5 stars. If I find a rug I love on a different website, I will check to see if it's sold on Amazon, and it usually is, and often with a better price.
Revival Rugs, Rugsource,Wayfair and Mark & Day are a few of my other affordable favorites, and every so often I'll find something great at my local HomeGoods.
