Shades of Summer: Rugs in Blues & Greens

Updated: May 31, 2023

There's no color combo that I love more than blue and green. Something about these colors is just so fresh and soothing, and since summer is quickly approaching, I think it's a perfect time to liven up your space, and an easy way to do that is with a new area rug.

One of my top tips for interior design is to start with one element that you really love - a rug, fabric, or some artwork - and use that element as a palette for your space. I like to use an area rug to set the palette since it's often one of the largest items in the room and can really set the tone and feel for the space.

So with that in mind, here are some beautiful, top-rated {affordable} rugs in blues & greens that can be used in lots of different rooms.

Where to shop

My #1 go-to for rugs is always Amazon, mostly because they have the biggest selection of different brands and they also have the most reviews. Almost never do I purchase or recommend a rug that has less than a 4 star rating, and typically I like to stay closer to 4.5 stars. If I find a rug I love on a different website, I will check to see if it's sold on Amazon, and it usually is, and often with a better price.

My other favorite site for rugs is Dash & Albert at https://annieselke.com. I've had several Dash & Albert rugs over the years, and they continue to be among my top favorites both for quality, durability and price. Their indoor/outdoor rugs are the absolute BEST for high-traffic areas and they make great stair runners. *contact me for an exclusive discount on Dash & Albert rugs and other Annie Selke products.

Wayfair, Kathy Kuo, McGee & Co, Caitlin Wilson and Pottery Barn are also some of my favorites, but their prices can be higher, so you just have to keep an eye out for sales, or contact me to receive a designer discount at these retailers.

Happy Shopping!
