Colorful + Fun Lighting for Your Home

If you know me at all, you know that I have two favorite things to shop for when designing spaces for both myself and my clients: lighting and wallpaper. I could easily spend any given day going down a rabbit hole looking at countless light fixtures and wallpaper options and loving every second of it.

These two design elements are unique because they are relatively inexpensive (when compared to other improvements) but they can have HUGE impact on the look at feel of a space.

So here I've decided to do a roundup of some of my favorite, FUN lighting at all price points to give you a burst of inspiration for your space.

PRICE: HIGHER

Stray Dog Designs creates some of the most unique light fixtures I've ever seen, using paper maché, iron, and fun colors, and are handmade to order in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. All the fixtures come in multiple colors, or you can order a custom color to fit your space for an additional fee.

When I was building my last house, my designer friend suggested the Landon Chandelier (above), and it easily became my favorite fixture in that house. The price is higher for sure, but in my opinion, it was totally worth it for a unique, handmade piece like this one, and since my other light fixtures were less expensive, this was my one splurge.

Ok, ok... but I challenge you to use color somewhere unexpectedly in your home, even if it's not in your light fixtures :)
